Session 09 : Arabic and Unani Medicine

The Unani system originated in Greece and was introduced by Arabs and Persian around 11^th century in India. It was laid by Hippocrates in late 460-377 BC. It is based on the classical four humours as Phlegm, blood, yellow bile and black bile. Health is thus a state of the body in equilibrium with the humours. With extra commitments of restorative astuteness from different parts of the Middle East and South Asia, Unani solution came to be referred to likewise as Arabian, or Islamic prescription.
